    I don't get Twitter from a marketing perspective. How can having thousands of followers, all of whom follow hundreds of people actually benefit anyone? It reminds me of those old FFA ads (anyone remember them) where the next ad bumps yours down, until it leaves the page. Your ad would only be visible for a nanosecond.

    What's the point?

    To answer the last comment, Twitter represents a forum in which to follow the words and actions of both friends and idols. I think twitcam is just another extension of that. Interesting also that Twitter has begun to expand into the search engine market as well. Google look out!
