Gmail has added a unsubscribe option to all the marketing spam we receive in our gmail accounts.
When you mark certain emails as spam you will be given the option to unsubscribe from all future messages from the sender.Google gmail will send a message to the sender to remove your email from all future messages from the sender.
With a study showing that by 2014 users will receive 9000 marketing messages a year this could be a very useful tool.

Pretty nice. People often avoid unsubscribing because it's just more hussle than it's worth. I guess this will solve that problem.

It could have been better if Yahoo comes up with the same idea.

Finally! I use Gmail regularly, and receive so, so much spam. Glad to see Google is on top of things.

I like the idea of it being just a one click action on the users part. This will make the process so much simpilar.

9000 emails a year? You have got to be joking! I get nearly that every day! It is a pain. However, is going to every email, finding if it's gmail, then replying going to save me any time?

    Nope.

This is very good idea. Simple solution but really: did nobody thought about it yet? It seems to be one of the most reasonable options available in any email account service.
I think that also good way of not getting as much marketing emails is just not answering every opportunity, do not put account everywhere and on sites that we make new account just switch off the subscribe option. This could help avoid or just make the numbers less terryfying.
