The Google Chrome browser has launched a much speedier beat version of it's popular browser.
Google will be developing the browser along three parallel tracks.a stable version for mainstream users, a developer track for the programming crowd, and the new  beta track for more adventurous consumers.
The new beta is said to be 25% faster than the old version, and includes features such as tab-dragging,zooming,
auto fill, and auto scroll. You can download it here.

I use firefox religiously but I have been using Camino and Safari recently as well.
I think the number one issue for people is speed and chrome seems to me to be wicked fast, especially with AJAX stuff on it.

I agree chrome does seem to be very fast most of the time, and the ajax stuff is a plus.

I have been wanting to use Chrome. Is there a Entrecard Toolbar w/ Chrome yet?

    Hi Rick
Sorry to say that EC does not have a toolbar for chrome as of now,and to my knowledge one is not in the works.

I don't understand why speed isn't the biggest concern of developers. Opera is the fastest one at the moment and I use it even though there's not a lot of add-ons and some sites just don't support it. But it works ten times faster than anything else. List of priorities should look like that speed>ad-block> ... >extra features.

That should be good news for google, especially if they want to pull firefox users away to use chrome.

I've never really tried the earlier beta of Google Chrome because I've always thought Firefox was good enough. Maybe I should try it now.

The idea of Google chrome of each tab utilize it's own process is amazingly innovative, and their rebuilding of the Java VM is nothing sort of amazing. But even the firefox is ahead of chrome in terms of customization. If Google chrome looks to development in terms of customization than it can easily surpass Firefox.
