Gmail has added a new feature titled google labs giving users the ability to view multiple panes without the inconvenience of opening another tab.If you like to label your messages, and save searchs then this new feature might just be for you.

To use this feature you will have to enable Gmail Labs for your account, then enable “Multiple Inboxes” from the list of Labs options. From multiple inboxes you can create up to 5 different panes.
