It looks as if Amazon will be launching a new version of the Kindle on Feb 9th according to a report at New York Times.
The company sent out e-mail messages Tuesday announcing a news conference on that date at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York. Amazon.com confirmed that its founder and chief executive, Jeffrey P. Bezos, would host the event.

I heard about kindle only recently. Do you recommend this or the good old paper versions?

I prefer the good old paper version the cost of the kindle is just way to much for what it is.

Amazon is a great company. They should create some more new interesting gadgets if they want to compete with Ebay.
