I recommend anyone blogging from the wordpress platform take a look at it.It has some really good info there.

Useful resource but if you need your blog to be seo friendly use al in one seo pack too

Just make sure you don't use too many. Because the more plugins you have running, the slower the site will load. And there's nothing worse than the site that takes forever to load.
