It seems that the economic turn down just might be affecting the tech world as well.
Webware is reporting that we could start loosing some good tech companies.
Here, in no particular order, are 11 online services companies that could be on the chopping block.
Twitter
Meebo
TripIt
Zillow
Pandora
Second Life
Skype
Ask
Daily Motion
Net Vibes
MySpace
I find it odd that myspace is added to the list with its popularity, but it has had some troubled times of late.

Hi Steven...
Thanks to comment on my blog
You right, google penalize me cause of TLA
interesting article. I am surprised that these companies are supposed to be gone soon.
We should also look at the validity of the report. It is only troubled and not closing down. We just close our fingers then. I use skype among the rets listed there... ^^
That is indeed a bad news! I do hope they stay in circulation. One failure makes many effects in the market.. Just too bad.. Just too bad.. sigh.. capitalism is failing!
It would appear that most if not all of these companies just need to figure out a way to increase their revenue to stay afloat.
We would be foolish to think that web companies are immune to the current economic crisis. I am sure that even Google ad revenue is down since several of the terms I buy ads for have gone some quite a bit in the past few months.
This global crisis indeed affect even the e-world. With less advertisers, less income to cover for their operations cost.
twitter and skype? :O i hope they do alright.
I was suprised to see MySpace on there too. Love the pic of the dog in glasses Steve! Have a great day
Hi Chris
I could not resist the pic of the dog to go with this post.
I only use twitter, i've never tried the others on list..
I'm rather surprised that Twitter and MySpace belong to this endangered list. But I'm hoping that they will survive the hard times since they are so popular. I'm sure, their followers will not let them go down the drain. I am a MySpace fanatic so I'll start helping my favorite site in my own little way. Thank you for sharing this saddening but wakening blog. :)
This was bound to happen during a recession. I wonder if they will ever bounce back in a couple of years.
