Since the Yahoo stock dropped like a rock when the deal didn't go through the execs are making a wise move.

I have heard that even these talks have broke down and Microsoft is no longer interested.

I am not sure, but I just don't think yahoo is really interested. Well at least the top ranks in yahoo that is.

I hope that Microsoft can fix Yahoo, I think they've (Yahoo) gone as far as it can go.

But people said Microsoft is only prentending as if they're no longer interested.. The crocodile strategy, they say.. Pull your prey down into the water in order to weaken them..

I'm really doubtful that anything between Microsoft and Yahoo will happen. Yahoo has its eyes set on Google.

A Microsoft/Yahoo deal is critical for the future of online marketing. Google has no competition, and while Microsoft would have a long way to go to be a meaningful competitor, they are about the only company positioned financially and strategically to make a run at Google. The acquisition is a must, and I think it will happen one way or another.

also think that there will be no result

I agree that the yahoo and microsoft merger will probably be the face of google's most formidable competitor. It's about time that the monopoly is broken.

Sure Microsoft and Yahoo's combination will be helpful for internet marketing. Both of them can make good business together. Let's hope for the best!
