I highly recommend Google Analytics. It free, easy to set up, and has just as many features as the paid services or software programs out there today. If you really want to understand your viewers you gotta get Google Analytics.

    Hi Brad
Thanks for stopping by.I agree that google analytics is a great program to keep track of one's stats.I use it myself to track my site.

The main purpose of this post was to show the importance of using such a program as a website tracking platform.

I believe this was a most informative article on the subject no matter which program one may choose or not choose.

    Hi Jessie
Nice of you to stop by.I use google analytics when I want a full detailed report on my site traffic. It is free from google webmaster tools.
When I just want a quick look to see how traffic is going I use shiny stat. There is a link to it in my side bar.

    Thanks again for stopping by.

Hi Steven, your post is very helpful. I always check traffic result for our sites from Google Analytics to cpanel awstats. It helps me to analyze and come up what should I do next.

For me the best are awstats and google analytics. I always check keywords and site of provenience for my site.

    Best regards, Riccardo Giuntoli.

I agree that Google Analytics is about the best webstats package that can be found. The only drawback I believe is that the stats aren't on the fly, which can be a pity sometimes...
