I look forward to the day in the not-so-distant-future where it will become cost-effective to build energy generating, self-sufficient homes Steven.

I mean where electricity is provided by roofing and siding materials that are composed of billions of solar cells and where windmills generate an additional surplus to upload to the grid or store for future use. Heat and cooling are geo-thermal and all lighting is LED. Water is supplied from underground aquafers. The technolology is all here to do it now! Just imagine what's coming!

You are right the technology is there to do it now.The day it takes place will be a great day indeed.I will not go into why I believe it has not happened yet because it would turn this into a political post.
